"I'll never understand your position on things" is a series of figurative oil paintings that celebrate same-sex couples and their right to love and be loved. The paintings are set up on the gallery floor, inviting the audience to look down upon them while the subjects of the paintings gaze upwards towards the audience. The artwork challenges homophobia, discrimination, and the barriers to acceptance faced by the LGBTQ+ community.

Showcasing queer couples, the series confronts the damaging effects of conversion therapy and the importance of family acceptance in the coming out process. Above all, it promotes the message that love is love, and that all individuals deserve the freedom to express themselves and love who they choose. The unique placement of the paintings creates a powerful visual effect, drawing attention to the importance of shifting perspectives and challenging preconceived notions about love, sexuality, and gender.
