"The batch that didn't make the cut"
The 'mixed-breeds' (a batch of toys that have been locked up in a warehouse due to a manufacturing glitch and are now released for sale to the public, at a store near you) are at a constant battle for their rights to be displayed on shelves during the store's opening hours, just like the rest of the 'original productions'.
Follow their fight and journey of self-discovery!
FOR AGES 4 AND UP
(2009 - 2010)
Titled after my first solo exhibition in 2009 (I know, it took me a while), For Ages 4 & Up deals with the idea of conformity in today's society and social mores of contemporary Singaporeans represented through the use of costumes, uniforms and props.
Part of an exhibition in conjunction with Valentines Day, this series of Polaroid Paintings deals with the relation between permanence and spontaneity, comparing it to the idea of what society views today as an 'instant relationship', and it's aftermath.
